Multimedia Studies Intensive

Learn to design interactive communications using graphics, text, sound, animation and video.

Designed for professionals in the corporate or small business sector, education, publishing, entertainment, the arts, the social service sector, healthcare, design or technical services who wish to design, develop and publish interactive media.

Full-time study. Daytime 16 weeks.

Includes hands-on computer labs, seminars, lectures, portfolio development, internship opportunities for qualified students, plus free web site hosting for
3 months after program completion.

Tuition: $8,300 CAD. Student loans available.

Network Administration and Security Professional

Designed for both experienced systems or network administrators who wish to formalize their knowledge based on industry's top certification programs, and for those that are new this area and who wish to learn the essentials of network and security administration in order to establish a career in this exciting field of IT.

Full-time study. Daytime over approximately 11 months.

Includes an intensive classroom component augmented by labs, assignments, team projects, case studies, and 2 month industry practicum opportunities to qualified students.

The program is delivered at the downtown campuses of both BCIT and UBC.

Tuition: $16,500 CAD.
Student loans available.

Project Management

Enhance your ability to manage projects
of any size on time, on budget. Includes specializations in applied technology, business process and analysis, and strategic leadership.

Designed for experienced project managers facing new challenges and novice managers leading their first project, the program is compatible with the industry standard set by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Full-time study. Daytime over approximately 4 months.

Includes seminars, lectures, team projects and computer lab work for MS project.

Tuition: $9,200 CAD, payable in two installments. Student loans available.

Entertainment Administration

Develop your business, and leadership skills for the film, TV and digital entertainment industry.

The UBC Certificate in Entertainment Adminstration is under redevelopment and curriculum review for 2012.

For professionals transferring skills from other industries or entertainment industry professionals wanting to develop business and leadership skills for the entertainment industry. Includes producing, distributing, marketing, financing, entertainment law, production management, and digital media for entertainment made in Canada for a local or international audience.

Full-time study, evenings and weekends.

A series of core courses given over 13 - 14 weeks; includes a two-week Internship.

Tuition: $8,500 CAD includes texts. Student loans available.
