About Us

UBC Continuing Studies, an academic unit of The University of British Columbia, has been offering computers and technology courses since the 1980s. With more than 100 courses and programs offered each term, we are one of the largest providers of technology-related courses in Western Canada.

Our offices and classrooms are conveniently located at UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We offer daytime, evening and weekend courses at Robson Square and the occasional course at UBC's main campus at Point Grey. We also offer a variety of online courses.

In 1996, Continuing Studies launched the UBC Certificate in Internet Publishing. This program was the first university-level adult education program in North America focusing on interactive publishing, and earned the 1997 Award of Excellence from the Canadian Association of University Continuing Education.
