UBC Award of Achievement in Project Management Using Microsoft Project

Part-time Program

Successful projects result from careful planning. A project manager keeps the project team focused on the final client objectives and deliverables, supported by the project plan which acts as the roadmap to that goal. Project managers must foster communication and keep the team well organized. The challenging part of planning involves visualizing and forecasting the future. Microsoft Project delivers powerful capabilities to help project managers plan, manage, and track projects and resources.

The UBC Award of Achievement in Project Management Using Microsoft Project includes six courses that cover key planning tools to manage projects and shows you how to make the most of Microsoft Project. Courses are held on Fridays at UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver.

"Project managers often ask me - do I really need to know another software tool? I advise them that learning Microsoft Project helps you deliver projects successfully and gives your resume a boost. It provides more precision than Word or Excel, and the capabilities to capture details and display the results of planning decisions."

Brian Mullen, instructor for the UBC Award of Achievement in Project Management
