The UBC Award of Achievement in Web Analytics program is an innovative program designed to provide you with specialized knowledge in web analytics - the study of the impact a website has on its users.
The program's content is provided by the Web Analytics Association Education Committee, consisting of industry professionals, and guided by experienced administrators of adult education programs. The program focuses on teaching you how to create and manage a web analytics program and to optimize the effectiveness of site content, customer support initiatives, online marketing initiatives and the usability of the interface and navigational structure.
Details like the number of unique visitors to a site, whether they arrived through a link or came directly, how long they remained on any page or on the site, and what links and keywords they used while there, can all be measured to focus and assess effective marketing strategies.
Instructor
The Instructor guides the design of the curriculum and is one of the main authors of the online content.
